Our symbol logo incorporates the Korean consonants ‘ㄱ’ (G) and ‘ㄹ’ (R) from "Gyeryong," capturing the city’s growth, youth, and diversity through geometric forms.
The letter ‘ㄱ’ is shaped as an upward-pointing arrow, symbolizing continuous growth and development, while its asymmetrical, unconventional design reflects a spirit of unconstrained diversity and freedom.
Furthermore, the rhythmic Gothic typeface evokes a friendly and approachable feel for the citizens, illustrating how Gyeryong’s culture and tourism are seamlessly interconnected with the community.

Meet the three friends who protect Gyeryong together!
- Every morning, Koko greets the sunrise at the top of the Unification Tower in Gyeryongdae while singing military songs. Thanks to non-stop training and daily workouts with a single-minded determination to become a true soldier, Koko has built a solid, muscular physique. Koko loves grooming and neatening its heart-shaped rooster comb. To display the dignity of a drill instructor, Koko carries a whistle around and tries to take command everywhere, but due to an adorable appearance, that dignity always seems just a little bit lacking.
- A kitten born in the backyard of Gyeryongdae. Familiar with military culture from the very moment of birth, Nyangi grew up to be a passionate military geek. Watching the soldiers and mimicking their drills sometimes causes a stir due to clumsy mistakes, but Nyangi is bursting with more passion and enthusiasm than anyone else. With an innocent and pure demeanor, Nyangi captures everyone's heart and follows Gyeryong-i and Koko around like a mother.
