Camp Information

We aim to boost local development by promoting military culture, the arts, and tourism,
creating a vibrant cultural tourism city.

Event Overview

    September 20 (Sat)-21 (Sun), 2025 / 1-night, 2-day program
    * Check-in: 11:00 AM on the day of arrival, Check-out: 11:00 AM on the following day

    Auto Camping Site inside the Military Security Experience Center, Gyeryong-si, Chungcheongnam-do
    (* Navigation: 73, Seokgye-ri, Sindoan-myeon, Gyeryong-si)

    Family auto camping, bonding activities (recreation and experiential programs for families, and participation of the military culture festival, etc.)

  • Participation Eligibility

    Only teams consisting of family members from within and outside the district are eligible to participate, with a total of 25 teams (approximately 100 participants)
    - Each team must have a minimum of 2 members (1 adult and 1 child) and a maximum of 4 members (2 adults and 2 children)

  • Campground size

    25 sites (each site: 8.6m x 6.2m / 1 parking lot and 1 tent)

Participant recruitment

  • Announcement : August 11, 2025 (Fri) - August 22, 2025 (Tue) / 12 days
  • Application Period : August 25, 2025 (Mon) 10:00 AM to August 27, 2025 (Wed) 5:00 PM / 3 days
  • Application Method : Apply via the Gyeryong City Foundation for Culture & Tourism website (https://www.gcfct.org/)
    • - Consent to personal information handling and security guidelines is mandatory.
    • - Multiple applications per session are not permitted (one application per household).
  • Maximum capacity : 25 family units (approximately 100 people)
    • - Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 members (1 adult and 1 child) and a maximum of 4 members (2 adults and 2 children). Any excess members will be immediately asked to leave.

Participant selection

  • Selection Method : 25 teams will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Results Announcement : August 29, 2025 (Fri) after 10:00 AM
    ※ Only selected teams will be notified individually
Camping site locations will be assigned randomly and notified separately

Participation Method

  • Check-in time : 11:00 AM on the day of arrival
  • Check-out time : 11:00 AM the following day
Due to vehicle access restrictions at the main entrance of the event venue, please arrive by 10:50 AM and follow the instructions of the staff for entry (strictly enforced)
  • Participation fee : Free
  • Items to Bring : ID of the family representative, electrical extension cord (reel type) 25 meters or longer, lantern, winter clothing, sleeping bag, garbage bags (as required by local regulations), and all other camping essentials (including food and beverages)
  • Facilities : Sink, men's and women's restrooms, shower facilities available (no amenities provided)

Participant Rules

A representative of each team must bring a valid ID for personal identification. After the festival closes, entry and exit to the premises will only be permitted at designated times under the guidance of staff.
  • On-site activities : The camping area has a gravel surface, posing a risk of falls due to carelessness. Extra caution is required when children are walking.
  • Meals : No food will be provided during the camping period. Participants must bring their own meals.
  • Food and Beverages : There are no drinking water facilities or food and beverage sales facilities within the campground, so you must prepare your own food and beverages in advance. All alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited.
  • Convenience Facilities : Sink (cold water only), men's and women's restrooms, and showers (cold and hot water) are available. However, facilities may be insufficient when used by multiple people simultaneously, so please use them cleanly and in an orderly manner.
  • Lighting : There are no streetlights in the camping area, so personal lighting equipment (lanterns, etc.) must be brought.
  • Electricity : Electricity is available at the campground, but high-power electrical appliances such as electric stoves and grills are prohibited. Due to the distance between the power distribution box and the campsites, a power extension cord (at least 25 meters long) is required.
  • Flammable materials : Gas stoves, charcoal, and other flammable materials may be used for cooking. However, campfires using fire pits are not permitted.
  • Waste disposal : All waste generated during the camping period must be sorted and disposed of at the designated locations.
  • Cold weather precautions : The campground is located at the foot of a mountain, so temperatures may drop sharply at night. Warm clothing and sleeping bags are recommended.
  • Safety control : The campground is located within a military zone, so access to unauthorized areas is prohibited. All facilities installed around the campground, such as military experience areas (mock towers, rappelling facilities, obstacle courses, etc.), may not be used without permission from the security personnel.
  • Important Notes : Any actions that disrupt camp operations or cause harm to other participants are strictly prohibited. Violators may be asked to leave the premises at the discretion of the camp staff.
The organizers shall not be held liable for any accidents occurring due to the negligence of participants.
Individuals are fully responsible, both civilly and criminally, for any accidents resulting from unauthorized entry into restricted areas or unauthorized use of facilities such as military experience sites.
